I am currently working on a series of photo and video works in which the performative and visual qualities of my work coincide. I have titled most of these works as 'Studio Life,' for they originate from my forced stay in my studio due to the regulations imposed for the current pandemic. I realize that the meaning of my work will now be undoubtedly associated with the impact of Covid-19. My work, however, is more broadly concerned with absence and presence, being and not being, being involved and keeping a distance, being part of - and at the same time desiring to be the cause of - the image at hand.
